After fixing the water damage in our 1993 pop up camper by rebuilding the roof, I was able to completely update the space with a camper remodel. Right now, I’m searching for a used high wall pop up camper for our family, which I’m sure to renovate as well, using the ideas in this post as inspiration!

Pop up campers offer a unique challenge when renovating, as they don’t have any walls that can be easily painted to change the look.
Instead, painting items like cabinets with a new color and updating countertops can be great ways to transform the space. Plus, updating a pop up camper ceiling can also be a fun way to add color or warmth to your PUP.
All of these makeovers include step-by-step tutorials to make it easy for you. As with any makeover, the first thing you want to do is give your camper a good cleaning. Then make a to-do-list with the supplies and materials needed. It’s always the best feeling when you can scratch each one off the list!
The good news is you can find most of the items needed at local hardware stores, Home Depot or Lowe’s. If you are trying to narrow down a paint color, pick up free paint samples to test before choosing a color.
Here are a few materials you may want to consider:

- Spray Paint – if you are updating smaller items like cabinet hardware, consider spray paint. It’s quick, easy and cheap!
- Contact Paper – pick up a few rolls of contact paper to line the inside drawers in the bathroom and kitchen. Or, use it to update the table and countertops! Little cosmetic details make a big difference.
