Waffle Hobo Pies

Waffles stuffed with peanut butter, hazelnut spread and bananas cooked over the campfire in a pie iron. The filling combines together into a hot, slightly sweet melted treat that is perfect between two toasted waffles.

Ingredients

  • 8 frozen waffles
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup hazelnut spread
  • 2 bananas,, ripe
  • 2 tbsp butter, (optional)

Instructions

  • Spray both side of the inside of the pie iron with cooking spray.
  • Spread butter on one side of a frozen waffle (optional) and spread 1 tbsp. of hazelnut spread on the other side. Top with slices of banana and place in the bottom of one side of the pie iron.
  • Spread butter on one side of a second waffle (optional) and spread 2 tbsp. of peanut butter to the other side. Flip over and place on top of the first waffle.
  • Close up pie iron and cook over the fire or hot coals for approximately 10 minutes.
