Ingredients

  • 1 package cinnamon rolls, 8 count
  • 2 granny smith apples
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  • Spray the inside of the pie iron with cooking spray and set aside.
  • Remove cinnamon rolls from the package and place one in between two sheets of parchment paper. Use a rolling pin or a straight glass to roll out the dough into a circle about 5 inches wide. Place one flat cinnamon roll in the bottom of the pie iron.
  • Peel and slice the apples, and then add them to a bowl. Sprinkle flour, cinnamon, and salt on top and mix until the apples are coated.
  • Add about 1/3 cup of apple pie filling on top of the first cinnamon roll. Top with another rolled out cinnamon roll and pinch together the top and bottom cinnamon rolls. Close the pie iron around the apple pie.
  • Cook for approximately 15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Top with cinnamon roll icing and enjoy!
