Take regular s’mores to the next level with these 15 different creative smores ideas.
S’mores are the most classic campfire dessert of all time, but if we’re being honest, I think they are a little boring. Especially if we’re going camping for several nights, s’mores as the dessert every single night just doesn’t cut it for me.

Sure, the act of roasting a marshmallow is fun, but the same graham cracker, chocolate and marshmallow combo over and over again leaves little to the imagination.
That’s why I’m sharing my family’s favorite ways to make different kinds of smores. Each member of my family has a different favorite smores variation, and there are so many other combinations to try once you start thinking outside of the traditional s’mores combination of graham crackers, toasted marshmallow, and a piece of chocolate.
S’Mores Variations
All of these smores recipes still have a type of graham cracker, a roasted marshmallow, and a melty chocolate, so we’re staying true to the “smores” definition.
There are so many different ways to make s’mores with a variety of toppings. My favorite way to make them to is set up a charcuterie board of all the toppings (see the full list of toppings here) and let everyone put together their own dessert creations.
a note from Jenny
If I’m being honest, I really don’t like s’mores. I don’t love chocolate, and I really don’t love marshmallow, so smores have never been something I enjoy.
I do, however, love roasting marshmallows to the perfect golden brown, so if you come camping with me, I’ll have a never-ending supply of hot marshmallows for you ready for any smore combination you can dream up!
Here are some of our my family’s favorite s’mores variations. (My personal favorite is strawberry cheesecake, probably because it’s the only one that doesn’t have chocolate on it.)
